Magic: The Gathering Introduces Marvel and "The Hobbit" Crossover Sets

Wizards of the Coast recently unveiled exciting new collaborations for its popular trading card game, Magic: The Gathering, during MagicCon 2026 in Las Vegas. These highly anticipated releases include a Marvel Super Heroes themed collection and a set inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s "The Hobbit." These additions are set to expand the game's ever-growing universe, known as "Universes Beyond," which integrates various third-party franchises. The announcement also detailed other upcoming releases, including the "Reality Fracture" set, scheduled for October 2, marking the conclusion of a story arc that began three years prior with Wilds of Eldraine. Additionally, a new trading card game titled "Mood Swings," designed by Magic's head designer Mark Rosewater, has just launched. A cat-themed "Secret Lair" drop is also slated for release on June 15, adding more variety and thematic depth for players.
