New Docuseries to Feature Princess Diana's Revelatory Recordings

Scheduled for release on April 30, 2026, a new docuseries titled "Diana: The Unheard Truth" (working title) is poised to captivate audiences worldwide. Produced by Love Monday TV in collaboration with 53 Degrees Global, this three-episode series will showcase five hours of previously unheard audiotapes featuring Princess Diana. These recordings, made in secret with her close confidant James Colthurst, were the foundation for Andrew Morton's acclaimed 1992 biography, "Diana: Her True Story."

Love Monday TV has partnered with both Morton and Colthurst to gain exclusive access to these pivotal conversations. The producers assert that the content of these tapes will "change public perception of Diana forever." The Princess of Wales is heard navigating the complexities of her public life, expressing her hopes for the future, and even envisioning a scenario where Prince Charles marries Camilla Parker Bowles, leaving Diana free to forge her own path—a remarkable prediction given subsequent events.

The series will delve into Diana's reflections on key figures in her life, including Charles, Camilla, her sons William and Harry, Sarah Ferguson, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. This retrospective analysis, viewed through the lens of history, is expected to astound viewers with its accuracy and depth. Sophie Todd is handling the series editing, with Emily Hirst serving as producer. Justin Frahm is the director of photography. The project is fully financed by Rainmaker Films, led by Clay Pecorin, Russell Geyser, and Zak Tanjeloff, and Plymouth Films, fronted by Kevin Weisberg. The docuseries is currently being offered to broadcasters globally.

The impending release of "Diana: The Unheard Truth" offers a unique opportunity to revisit the legacy of Princess Diana through her own voice. Her candid reflections on her royal life, her prescient insights into the future, and her personal struggles with public scrutiny are a poignant reminder of the challenges she faced. This series has the potential to deepen our understanding of a beloved global icon, presenting a more nuanced and personal narrative that extends beyond the public facade.
